Background:
The VLMD is responsible for marketing and promoting Vail to attract overnight destination guests, especially during non-ski season. The goal is to create economic vitality by attracting visitors who stay longer and spend more, which in turn increases sales and lodging tax revenues. Performance is measured through occupancy, average daily rate, and lodging/sales tax revenues.
