
This unique exhibition, coming from Bihar Museum, revisits the life of Sita, wife of Lord Rama, and reimagines her beyond her divine abstraction. It explores her multifaceted roles as a woman, daughter, friend, and wife — celebrating her as an individual in her own right. Folk artists of Bihar have beautifully portrayed various moments from her life — her birth, childhood, marriage, abduction, and exile — through various traditional art forms such as Madhubani, Tikuli, Manjusha, Sujni, Applique (Embroidery). The exhibition features 35 renowned folk artists, including Padma Shri awardees and recipients of national and state-level honors,specialising in Madhubani, Tikuli, Manjusha, Sujni, Applique, art forms.
