Join the Virginia End-of-Life Doula Collective for a meaningful Death Doula Meet and Greet on Friday, Sept. 26, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at one of Virginia’s most historic and sacred spaces—Old City Cemetery, 401 Taylor St., Lynchburg, VA 24502.This casual gathering is a chance for doulas to connect, share resources, and grow their network—while also welcoming members of the public to learn more about end-of-life care, dying with dignity, and how death doulas support individuals and families.
The setting, Lynchburg’s Old City Cemetery, established in 1806, is not only the oldest municipal cemetery in Virginia still in use but also a nationally recognized historic site. The grounds serve as both a final resting place for over 20,000 people and a reflection of Southern history, featuring gardens, museums, and monuments that tell stories of lives past.
Guests are encouraged to walk the grounds before or after the event and reflect on the natural beauty and historic legacy of this sacred space.
Please be sure to RSVP for this event so we can be prepared with refreshments.
