Uxía Martínez Botana, internationally acclaimed double bassist, has performed with Kremerata Baltica under Gidon Kremer and with the Brussels Philharmonic. She returns to Flagey with Mendelssohn X Files, her new album placing the double bass at the heart of the string quartet. The programme reflects pivotal moments in Mendelssohn’s life, from the grief of his sister’s death to the serenity of his Adagio.
