About this Event
The KTP Centre is excited to present our 2024 KTP Associate Seminar on Monday 1st July, from 09:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Paisley Campus, UWS. Hosted in our recently launched HIVE Enterprise Hub, this event will showcase our business partners’ award-winning KTP projects and the transformative impact that working in partnership with academia can have.
Who should attend?
Are you looking to grow your business, enhance your management capability or develop a new product or service, but don't quite have the skills, knowledge, or experience to implement your ideas? This seminar is the perfect opportunity to network with fellow business owners and directors and connect with the vibrant and award-winning UWS KTP community to help realise your strategic business goals.
What will I learn?
You will hear from members of UWS’s leadership team, Innovate UK KTN, businesses, academics, and KTP Associates, giving you an opportunity to dive deeper into the world of KTP and hear testimonies first-hand from those who have completed or are nearing the end of their KTP journey.
The seminar will cover a diverse range of innovative KTP projects, featuring Scottish SME Phoenix Instinct, the winner of the Toyota Global Mobility Award. Now on their second KTP with UWS, you'll hear from their KTP Associate who is developing next-generation SMART wheelchairs using advanced technologies. Additionally, our audience will hear from our KTP Associate with Raven Controls, which offers an innovative real-time event logging and incident management tool, providing unparalleled integrated situational awareness.
Topics will span from enhancing strategic agility and business growth in the construction sector to creating sustainable livestock feed in Nigeria and integrating cutting-edge technology to boost growth in the cultural tourism sector. There will be a wealth of knowledge for our audience to benefit from. Each speaker will have a short Q&A session after their presentation, and there will be ample opportunity for networking over coffee and lunch.
By the end of the session, you will have expanded your network, developed an understanding of the KTP model, and identified how UWS can support your business (as well as access up to 67% grant support). KTP Centre staff will be on hand to discuss your potential KTP project ideas throughout the event, and breakout rooms are available for one-on-one confidential discussions.
