Join us on Saturday October 4th, 2025 at 9:00 am for the first running of the Uwharrie Brewing Firehouse Walk/Run 5K and 1 Miler. All participants who sign up by September 22nd will receive a Race T-Shirt. All participants over 21 will receive a complimentary Uwharrie Beer at the end of the race, participants under 21 or who prefer a non alcoholic beverage will have a choice of soft drinks, Coffee, Tea or Lemonade.This race will be celebrating the old Firehouse, the Firehouse red ale beer, Albemarle Fire Department and Fire Prevention Week (October 5th to October 11th). The official theme for Fire Prevention Week 2025, which runs from October 5-11, is "Charge into Fire Safety: Lithium-Ion Batteries in Your Home"
Packet Pickup will be On Oct 3rd at Uwharrie Brewing from 3:00 pm to 6 pm. There will also be a packet pick up the day of the race.
Runners, Walkers, and Strollers are welcome.
We will have Games, Face Painting, coloring books, FREE Jeremiah's Italian Ice and Fire Safety Demonstrations by the Albemarle Fire Department after the run, so plan to stick around afterwards.

Uwharrie Brewing Running Club 5k Walk/Run:
The 5k Run will be a timed event.
Custom Engraved Mugs will be awarded to the Top 3 Male and Female Finishers. Age Group winners will receive a Custom Designed medal. Age groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, Over 70.
Start and finish will be at Uwharrie Brewing.
** First 50 people registered will receive a FREE pair of themed Socks **
