The UVA Health Breast Cancer Support Group meets in person the third Wednesday of each month from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at UVA Health Cancer Care Gainesville (7901 Lake Manassas Dr, Gainesville, VA 20155).Sharing a difficult situation and learning from others along a similar cancer journey can provide you with support, guidance, and needed education and resources.
Often those with peer support feel empowered to face the challenges a cancer diagnosis brings with greater strength, hope, and resilience.
This group may be for you if you're looking for:
- A welcoming, supportive environment that is nurse led, survivor supported.
- The sharing of education and helpful information.
- Encouragement from peers and a focus on wellness and positive motivation.
