UUCP Emergent NatureDiscussing Braiding Sweetgrass
Thursdays, February 12 & 26, 6:30 - 8:30pm
UUCP Emergent Nature is a continuing in-person discussion and sharing group facilitated by Jen McDaniel where we will plant the seeds of a reciprocal relationship with the Earth and one another. The first book we’ll be discussing is Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge, and the Teachings of Plants, by Robin Wall Kimmerer. On Feb. 12th we will lay a foundation by giving an overview of the Emergent Nature concept, creating group goals, and rooting ourselves in a spirit of reciprocity. Please plan to have a copy of the book by February 26th. It is available to purchase locally and on-line as well as to check-out at local libraries. Electronic, audiobook, and traditional formats are all welcome. If you need help acquiring a copy, please ask.
Come to one, some, or all. Sign up in the foyer or on-line https://uuchurch.flocknote.com/signup/243491 . Contact Jesi Laughlin, DLRE with questions.
