About this Event
Join the EWRI San Antonio Chapter for this engaging event at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). Attendees will be guided on a tour of various low impact development (LID) features around campus and hear directly from the professors and students who were involved with the projects. A social lunch will follow.
Features discussed on the tour will include a bioswale in central campus, a "no mow" area, cistern, storm water test beds, and the Mesquite Living Lab.
We ask that attendees meet near the northwest corner of the Ximenes parking garage no later than 9:30 AM to obtain UTSA parking passes for the event. These day passes are being generously sponsored by the UTSA Office of Sustainability. There will be a designated area in the parking lot adjacent to Ximenes garage to pick up your parking pass from volunteers. They will provide instructions on the approved locations to park.
Upon completion of the first portion of the tour on central campus, attendees may drive to the parking lot located at the Mesquite Living Lab for the second portion of the tour and lunch. Please refer to the parking map below. Carpooling is encouraged.
The tour will begin promptly at 9:45 AM at the bioswale near the parking garage. We look forward to seeing you at our event!
