About this Event
Hosted by MassArt’s Master of Design Innovation program as part of Boston Design Week 2023, this panel convenes design world experts to discuss the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on design. Generative AI continues to develop at a rapid pace, and design communities are faced with questions of how to use it to amplify our work, guard against hidden biases, refine our understanding of originality, and defend creative industries from unhealthy creative destruction. Join our panel in exploring the potential and pitfalls of AI.
Panelists include Rachel Acker, Head of the Strategic Services Practice at a design agency, Rob Erskine, a creative designer and developer who currently works for global product design and development outfit Stellar Elements, software and robotics entrepreneur Ville Lehtonen, Vinit Kaushik, a Designer/Engineer in the Cyber Security space, and Senior Vice President of Strategy at Hill Holliday, Faith Previtera.
The Master of Design Innovation (MDES) program at MassArt is a full-time, two-year graduate program that prepares the next generation of innovators to lead organizational and social transformation at corporations, nonprofits, educational institutions, and entrepreneurial ventures.
Massachusetts College of Art and Design (MassArt) is a public, independent institution, now in its 150th year, that prepares artists, designers, and educators to shape communities, economies, and cultures for the common good.
