About this Event
Hosted by UTMB's Interprofessional Scholars Program since its launch in 2017, Disaster Day is a student-led simulation aimed at preparing and educating health care professional students on responding to a crisis.
By challenging students to act as first responders, this event allows students to gain real time hands on experience in interprofessional communication, the triage system and how to effectively organize their team and prioritize efforts to provide effective health care in the event of an emergency.
Held in the Health Education Center, students from all UTMB schools are encouraged to participate! Come put your medical knowledge and team skills to the test and find out: Are YOU prepared?
We are looking for volunteers, from the following list, to participate as a patient actor, emergency responder or faculty facilitator:
- Health Care Students
- Faculty
- Health Care Professionals
Disaster Day Fall 2024 is an epic production brought to you by the Health Education Center and the Office of Interprofessional Education and Practice.
