  4. Identify and explain the 4 types of humor and explore how they can be applied in the context of play therapy.
  5. Understand the utility of humor as a therapeutic modality, with a specific focus on its application within the framework of Adlerian Play Therapy.
  6. Understand how to effectively use humor in the framework of Adlerian Play Therapy to enhance therapeutic outcomes.

Cancellation Policy

$20 is non-refundable. Written cancellations received by July 15, 2024 will receive a full refund of the balance minus $20. Cancellations after July 15, 2024 will forfeit the total cost of registration.

In the very unlikely event that the workshop must be cancelled or postponed by the organizers, the Florida Association for Play Therapy will provide a full refund of the registration fees.

Continuing Education

4.0 hours of continuing education available.

The Florida Association for Play Therapy (FAPT) is an approved provider for the Association for Play Therapy to offer continuing education specific to play therapy. APT Approved Provider 02-115. Play therapy credit will not be awarded to non-mental health professionals. FAPT is approved by the Florida Department of Health under FL Statute 491 to offer continuing education for Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists and Mental Health Counselors. Provider Number BAP-50-10520 expires 03/31/2025. FAPT is approved by the Florida Department of Health under FL Statute 490 to offer continuing education for Psychologists. Provider Number BAP-50-10520 expires 05/31/2026.

Andrea's integrative therapeutic approach combines evidence-based techniques with Adlerian and integrated theories, emphasizing the interconnectedness of mind, body, spirit, and social environments. As a member of esteemed organizations such as the American Counseling Association, Association for Play Therapy, North American Society for Adlerian Psychology, and the Florida Mental Health Counselors Association, Andrea has dedicated years to working with individuals aged 3-65 throughout Florida, specializing in play therapy, trauma therapy, and addressing the unique needs of the LGBTQIA+ community.
