UTG Presents: Carrie - The Musical
Come join us for a thrilling night at the William C. Powers Student Activity Center as we present Carrie - The Musical! This musical follows the story of Carrie White, an awkward, sheltered girl, feverishly bullied at school and living with an oppressively religious mother. Upon having her first period, she discovers that there may be more to her personal transformation beyond puberty. Carrie is an intense coming-of-age story about judgment, self-image, freedom, and family wrapped in the shell of a horrifying, Stephen King-esque thriller. We hope you enjoy the show!
CONTENT WARNINGS: Depictions of bullying, religious extremism, religious child abuse, homophobia, violence, and death in a school setting. Mentions of sexual assault. Usage of flashing lights.
