About this Event
Join us for a new and unique hands-on workshop at Lumber Society! Using simple hand tools and basic carving techniques, participants will craft a fully functional wooden spoon and fork! We’ll start off with a wooden blank and slowly carve out the handles and custom shaped bowl and prongs for the fork. Learn how to safely use the tools, including gouge and straight knives, and finishing your spoon through sanding and oiling.
All materials and advanced tools will be provided for in this beginner friendly, six hour class. Please bring your basic carving knife. Free drink token and Lumber Society Utensil Carving badge with each paid admission! All attendees must purchase a ticket. No friends, partners, kids, etc. allowed without a ticket. Arrive early.
[The Lumber Society is now offering new, weekend adult survival-skills workshops focusing on longer-form activities/studies and smaller classes with a greater student-to-teacher ratio. We hope this is an exciting new chapter for Lumber Society members!]
