About this Event
Utah's Water Crisis - What You Need to Know
Iron County is currently using more than 2 billion gallons too much water from our aquifer, every year. Areas all over Utah are in a water crisis with overused water resources, massive population growth, and the price of water going up. Utah water laws are complicated and it's hard to know what to think and even more difficult to know how you can help. In this class you will learn all the basics about Utah water rights, exactly what is causing the problem, and solutions for us and for generations to come.
This four-week course meets Wednesdays from 6-8PM, beginning Feburary 5
Instructor Bio
As a Realtor in Iron County, Linda Hahne realized that real estate professionals often lack adequate training in the subject of Utah Water Rights. In an effort to correct the problem she spent hundreds of hours developing an accurate and informative class, which has now been taken by more than 800 real estate professionals from all over Utah. Many non-real estate professionals have also requested more information about this vital subject, so she is now teaching classes and giving lectures to the general public. Linda's goal is, and always has been, to de-mystify Utah water laws and help people become active and informed participants in their community. She believes that informed community members, working together, can find solutions to these difficult problems.
