Reiki is a Japanese word to describe any type of healing modality based on life force energy. According to Mrs Hawayo Takata, Rei means Universal, however, the esoteric meaning is 'supernatural knowledge' or 'spiritual consciousness'. Ki is the life force, and is the same as Chi in Chinese, Prana in Sanskrit and Mana in Hawaiian. Therefore, Reiki means universal life force energy. This form of Reiki derives from Dr. Mikao Usui and is the most traditional lineage of Reiki.Start level 1 training in Traditional Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki over 4-weeks.
Duration of this training is to support you in the process of connecting with Reiki energy. Meet and connect with other students who join you in this healing journey and create life-long friendships.
You will receive a 65-page manual with information on the history of Traditional Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki, meditations, hand positions and reiki treatments.
The training includes a class every Wednesday evening at 7pm (times may change depending on students availability) and a Reiki share every Thursday evening at 7pm.
What the course looks like:
Week 1:
During week 1, we will introduce ourselves, get to know one another a bit better and connect to the Reiki energy with a level 1 attunement. This is a sacred process that will open your chakras to the Reiki energy and many people feel different things, we will have a sharing circle to drop into the process and allow integration to start.
We will also start going through the manual and talk about the history of Reiki, the Reiki principles, the 21-day cleansing process that will take place, how reiki works and what it's used for.
Week 2:
In the second week, we will explore the use of reiki in more depth. I will also guide you through a meditation on meeting your Reiki Guides.
We will start to explore the Reiki energy and understand how it can be used with self-healing and healing others as well as animals. Apart of this process will be understanding the importance of cleansing and preparing the space and ourselves before connecting with others.
Week 3:
For week 3, we will be deepening our understanding of Reiki energy through learning about the seven chakras, specific reiki sessions to help balance and cleanse the chakra system. As a part of your Reiki healing sessions, you may want to incorporate the use of crystals and pendulums. This week will involve a lot of crystals and pendulums, so make sure you bring your favourite ones!
Week 4:
For our final week, we will close the circle and container with some beautiful Reiki treatments on one another. We will use the time to reflect with each other on how we have found our journey into Reiki healing and how you would feel best supported throughout the journey.
You will also receive your Traditional Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Level 1 Certificate!
