Reiki is a hand-on Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by “laying on hands” and is based on the idea that an unseen, universal life force energy flows through us and is what causes us to be alive.
Reiki is a way of guiding universal life force energy throughout the body to promote the recipient’s self-healing abilities. The Reiki practitioner doesn’t cause the healing, nor are they the source of that healing energy; they’re a channel for the energy. This is one of the differences between Reiki and other energy healing modalities. Reiki energy generally flows into the crown and runs down the arms to the hands of the practitioner and then distributes to where it needs to go. This is not the only energy flow pattern, but the most common.
Reiki works by promoting balance in the mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual bodies and can help alleviate suffering. This statement does not guarantee or promise that someone will be relieved of an ailment with a single or multiple Reiki treatments.
Illness happens when the mind, body, and spirit become unbalanced. True wellness can be attained by returning the entire being back into harmony and balance with itself, the Earth, and the Universe. We begin our healing when we desire to be well and whole. Without the motivation and the intention to act, we cannot become well.
Reiki treatment increases vitality and stamina. In the physical body, Reiki works by encouraging a person’s own natural healing abilities. It promotes relaxation and reduces stress. Reiki downgrades the central nervous system to allow space for healing to occur. When someone is stressed or in fear, healing has a difficult time happening. In most cases, Reiki can also enhance the effects of medical treatment when used in conjunction with it.
Reiki can help enhance personal and spiritual evolution. It can help assist us on the path of enlightenment, but Reiki does not guarantee enlightenment – we have to do the work. Over time, Reiki can enhance stamina, intuition, meditation, and spiritual evolution.
Reiki has a degree of intelligence and goes where it is most needed in the body and aura. An underlying principle of Reiki is that it can do no harm or be used for any harmful purpose. Reiki can be used on people, plants, animals, food, medicine, etc. The list is endless.
Reiki I is learning to apply Reiki hands-on to get an understanding of what Reiki is and how to use it in your life. Reiki I helps people come back to their original state of being. Reiki helps you stay on your spiritual path in life and to become a better person. Reiki 1 is for use on self, treatment for friends and family, animals and plants.
Syllabus for Reiki 1 Attunement
Know what Reiki is, how it works and its holistic effects.
Know the history and origins of Reiki, the history of own style/system of Reiki, including lineage
Know the history and development of Reiki and its relationship to other modalities/healthcare
Receive in person the four reiki attunements
Learn about the Clairs
Understand auras and chakras
Protecting and clearing your energy
Hand positions for self treatment, treatment for friends and family and for animals
Workbook for home reading
Diary for recording 21 day spiritual cleanse
Receive your reiki certificate at the end which will give you a lineage of 12th from Dr Usui.
The energy exchange is £200 for the two days.
