About the Lecture:
Swedish-American inventor John Ericsson’s brilliant mind produced hundreds of patents, including over 30 used on USS Monitor. He invented engines, screw propellers, shell guns, and so much more, and is considered one of the giants of the Industrial Age. His monitor design proved to be the backbone of US Navy operations from 1862 to the end of the war.
In person is free for Museum Members and included in $1 admission.
