About the Location
Café du Monde – City Park is one of the satellite locations of the historic Café du Monde, originally established in 1862 in the French Market. improvements.
Architectural History
While the City Park café building is a later addition, its architectural lineage connects to the 1813 Spanish-built Butcher’s Hall in the French Market, which became the original Café du Monde site. This is sometimes referred to as the Casino Building in City Park dates to 1913 and represents the park’s civic architectural era.
