About this Event

This event will take place in room 148 at the ESC of Central Ohio on June 26, 2023 at 9:00 a.m.

In preparation for the 2023-2024 school year, this workshop will provide Building Principals and Asst. Principals at the elementary, middle, and high school levels with the latest research on school absenteeism. Attendees will learn about the areas of focus that all school buildings should be examining to prevent and reduce chronic absenteeism. Additionally, a workshop will be conducted to examine building data and identify areas that need adjustment prior to the school year or throughout the year.

Resources and Materials to Bring

Materials from the Ohio Department of Education and Attendance Works will be presented at the start of the workshop to provide a foundation for the discussion. Attendees are encouraged to bring building-level attendance data, behavior data, bell schedules, and academic performance information. This data will be used to create a plan of action that can be taken back to building leadership or attendance teams.

Deadline to register is June 19, 2023.
