About this Event

What to expect:

This course is geared towards mental health professionals seeking to incorporate a new creative intervention into their practice with clients who are experiencing life transitions. This course will address how clinicians can support their clients in processing shifts in their lives by creatively altering existing books as a tool to engage in better processing their responses to change, as even positive change can elicit anxiety and uncertainty. This course will briefly address challenges that may arise in decision-making that comes with using an already existing book as a canvas, and how art therapists can work with their clients in this particular medium.

What to bring:

Materials for this course will be provided by the organizer. Participants are welcome to bring their own book to alter.
