Beyond Beginners Belly Dance Classes
Ready to take your belly dance skills to the next level? Join us for a fun and challenging workshop focusing on how to use a veil as a prop for your belly dance performance. Or learn it just for yourself. This in-person event will be held at the José Mateo Ballet Theatre, a beautiful venue perfect for dancing. This workshop is perfect for dancers looking to push themselves beyond the basics. Don't miss out on this opportunity to elevate your belly dance skills!
Previous knowledge of the easier fundamental movements is required (that means that you have spent at least a couple of months studying belly dance technique previously to this class, for example taking Seyyide's beginner courses). Intermediate and advanced students and dancers who want to work in Egyptian style technique are welcome. No previous experience using a veil is required, this could be your first time using a veil.
What you need
You will need a piece of about 3 yards of chiffon (silk chiffon is the best kind) to use as your veil. If not, Seyyide will try to provide some pieces of fabric for people who could not get it on time, but cannot guarantee a veil for all. You can get this at a fabric store, or wait for a message from Seyyide with additional suggestions for options, after you sign up.
