Join me for a trip back in time to 1903! With me as your personal tour guide, you will learn all about what it was like to live, go to school, shop and what it takes to make a town. If you've never been to the CR local village, this will be a treat! If you have, then it will be a refresher and you may hear some stories that you haven't heard before.Arrival time to the grounds (5925 Seminole Valley Trail NE) will be 10:00am. After all guests are checked-in, we will start the tour, hopefully No Later Than 10:30am. Our final stop will be the Saloon where "Old-Tyme" drinks such as Sarsaparilla, Root Beer, Cream Soda, Orange Cream Soda, and water may be purchased as well as some Old-Tyme toys.
If interested, we have the grounds open to us until 2:00pm, so you can bring a sack lunch and we can chat in the pavilion afterwards.
Cost of the tour is $10/person (Cash Only)
Sodas are $3/each; water is $2/each
Toys are $5/each
Cash is required because in 1903 the internet had not yet been invented, But more importantly, the Wi-Fi isn’t reliable.
Ushers Ferry is considered a City Park, so all proceeds go to the maintenance and upkeep of the buildings as well as replenishing inventory.
I have also reserved the following dates and times. These dates will be open to anyone age 55+ and will be posted on the Cedar Rapids 55 Plus Facebook page.
Tuesday, September 10th 10:00am – 2:00pm
Sunday, November 3rd, 2:00pm – 6:00pm
