About this Event

On Saturday, November 9th, join fellow USC Marshall and Leventhal alumni and students for a morning hike at Solstice Canyon. We will be walking and talking. We will be making new friends and seeing old friends.

This event is FREE but please take note parking options may require some payment.

The Solstice Canyon Loop is located in Malibu and is considered a moderately challenging trail with a progressive incline. The distance is 3 miles and takes about 1.5 hours to complete.

Participants will meet at the trailhead at 9:45AM and hike the trail as a group. Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash and cleaned up after. No smoking or alcohol is allowed on the trail.

Directions and Parking:

Head north on Pacific Coast Highway from Malibu Canyon road to Corral Canyon Road and turn right. About a quarter mile up, you will see the gated entrance to Solstice Canyon.

Parking can be limited so hikers may need to be flexible with parking options. Arrive early to ensure you can safely park before the hike.

What to Bring:

  • Water bottle
  • Mobile phone for photos or emergencies
  • Suitable shoes for walking on unpaved terrain
  • Sun protection: hat, sunblock
  • Jacket or sweatshirt in the case of cooler weather

In the case of rain, earthquake or otherwise, please stay home if conditions do not appear safe. Please check local news prior to traveling to the hike trail.
