US Chess Rated Chess Tournament in Carlisle – Saturday, January 10, 2026
Location: Bethany Evangelical Church (New Beginnings Loft), 558 Petersburg Road, Carlisle, PA 17015
Format: Open (all ages) and Scholastic Quads. Quads are 4 player sections. Each player plays one game vs each player in his/her quad.
Registration:
Advanced : $15 online through Friday, January 9th
At-site: $20 Saturday, January 10th (10:00 AM - 10:30 AM)
Players must register in advance or arrive by 10:30 AM to register at the site to participate.
Time Control: G/40; d/5. Games played with chess clocks, 40 minutes per player (5 second delay for each move)
Schedule:
At site Registration: 8:30 AM - 9:00 AM
Round 1: 9:30 AM
Rounds 2 & 3: 10:30 AM & 12:00 PM or earlier.
Prizes:
Open Quads: $40 1st place
Scholastic quads: Trophy: 1st place (minimum 2 pts)
Medal: 2 pts (non-trophy winners)
Ribbons: Players not qualifying for a trophy or medal
