Night Owl Gallery Presents

tRuE Purpose: Exploring Creative Reuse
A Solo Exhibition by Ursula Seckel (She/Her)

Join us for the First Friday Art Walk in Highlandtown as Night Owl Gallery proudly presents tRuE Purpose, an electrifying solo exhibition by artist and full-time weirdo Ursula Seckel. Based in the Washington, DC area since 1991, Ursula has lived many creative lives. From theater to international travel, wine & beer, and wedding planning before fully embracing her authentic bi/pansexual, punk rock self as a visual artist.

Known for her large-scale mixed media works bursting with message, humor, and curiosity, Ursula transforms “pretty trash” into striking artworks that challenge our throwaway culture. A lifelong dumpster diver and advocate for creative reuse, she also crafts refined jewelry and mosaics from recycled materials, beads, and metal—proving that nothing is truly disposable.

“I believe that art can be activism. My goal is to capture curiosity and inspire others to say, ‘I could make that!’—and then actually do it, keeping more trash out of landfills by creating beauty.”Ursula Seckel
