Tanssin ja barokkimusiikin vuoropuhelu – Miten kulkee elämän lanka lapsuudesta vanhuuteen?
Tämä kiehtova kysymys herää eloon, kun StepUp School ja FiBO yhdistävät voimansa ainutlaatuisessa produktiossa. Step Up Schoolin koreografit ja ohjaajat luovat yhdessä Suomalaisen barokkiorkesterin muusikoiden kanssa tanssin ja barokkimusiikin keinoin koskettavan matkan läpi elämän eri vaiheiden. Matkaa säestävät barokin sävelet Rameausta Purcelliin. Lapsuuden uteliaasta toiveikkuudesta, läpi nuoruuden myrskyjen ja epävarmuuden, kohti aikuisuuden haasteita. Saamme kokea ystävyyden voiman ja rakkauden monet kasvot. Viekö ihastuksen vatsaa kutkutteleva perhosparvi rakkauden pumpulipilville ja kohti syvempää kumppanuutta? Parisuhteesta perheeseen. Ikimuistoisista juhlista ihanaan arkeen. Suuresta riemusta niihin väistämättömiin solmukohtiin. Löytyvätkö ympäriltä he, jotka kannattelevat niistä yli? The Dialogue Between Dance and Baroque Music — How Does the Thread of Life Unravel from Childhood to Old Age?
This captivating question comes to life as StepUp School and the Finnish Baroque Orchestra join forces in a unique production. Together with FiBO’s musicians, the choreographers and directors of StepUp School create a touching journey through the stages of life, expressed through dance and baroque music. The path is accompanied by baroque melodies ranging from Rameau to Purcell.
From the curious hopefulness of childhood, through the storms and uncertainties of youth, to the challenges of adulthood — we witness the power of friendship and the many faces of love. Does the fluttering of butterflies lead to clouds of romance and lasting companionship? From relationships to family. From unforgettable celebrations to the beauty of everyday life. From great joys to the inevitable knots along the way. Will there be those around us to carry us through?
As the journey leads us to the final steps of life's path, we are left with one profound question: When you reach the end of your thread, with what eyes will you look at the life you have woven?
