URI's College of Nursing Distinguished Lecture with Dr. Dale Beatty
Join us for an exciting in-person event at the Rhode Island Nursing Education Center! Dr. Dale Beatty will be sharing insights and expertise in nursing that you won't want to miss.
Dr. Beatty is the Chief Nurse Executive and Vice President at Stanford Health Care, a premier academic health system and flagship hospital for Stanford University. He also served as the President of the Association of California Nurse Leaders. (2023).
Twenty-two years of Chief Nurse Executive experiences, Dr. Beatty has advanced high performing organizations and has served on multiple boards. He has extensive experience with ANCC Magnet and the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. Dr. Beatty is recognized by US News and World Report as a Top 10 Chief Nursing Officer 2022-2023.Dr. Beatty's Practice-Policy executive leadership impact is both national and international. As senior Nurse Executive at Stanford Health Care, we lead and promote Caring Science integration systemwide as a foundation for advancing professional nursing practice, education, and research. Our Caring Science innovations were recognized as a National Practice Caring Science Exemplar during our fourth ANCC Magnet Redesignation. The ANCC also awarded SHC with the 2022 Premier Award for our Caring Science integration into education & practice. Finally, Stanford Medicine is the first and only Sigma Practice Chapter in the world with over 400 members.
Dr. Beatty earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ohio Wesleyan University, a Master of Science with Distinction from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Illinois, Chicago, Illinois. He is also board certified as a Nurse Executive Advanced by the ANCC and is certified as a Dr. Jean Watson Caring Science, Caritas Coach.
