Welcome to the UrbanPromise Los Angeles Hope for the Future 5th Annual Fundraising Event! Join us at Pepperdine University | Caruso School of Law for an afternoon filled with hope, vision, and limitless possibilities.
Reach a child. Raise a leader. Restore Community. That is the vision of UrbanPromise Los Angeles and it's what continues to drive and inspire UPLA's Founders, Dionté and Meg Grey, in their mission to support underserved youth throughout Los Angeles. UrbanPromise offers day camps throughout the year for Kindergartern - 8th grade students, leadership development and college preparation to 9th-12th grade students, and mentorship and internship opportunities to college students.
If you are new to UrbanPromise Los Angeles, here are 5 things you should know about us:
- We believe in creating opportunities which further empower urban youth to be the leaders and change agents in their communities.
- Our mission is to support the children and youth of Los Angeles as they grow to be Christian leaders determined to restore their communities.
- We are located in the San Fernando Valley region of Los Angeles (Canoga Park), and are working to expand our programs to other neighborhoods throughout Los Angeles
- We are seeking to address the issues of educational inequality, youth unemployment, and the lack of access to higher education for Black and Brown students.
- In 5 years, 100% of our teens have graduated on time and received college acceptance. We've also served 300+ youth through our programs.
