Urbanite Dance Showcase returns to our birthplace of Champaign-Urbana at The City Center featuring 21 dance crews performing and special guests!

Urbanite brings together all aspects of the culture in one immersive event for all to enjoy. Die-hard dance fans and casual admirers alike will thoroughly enjoy experiencing the Midwest's best dance crews, DJ sets, and the official afterparty.

This Urbanite show is presented in proud partnership with Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, UIUC Student Affairs, and Dance at Illinois.

Day-of general admission tix $26 based on availability. We highly recommend purchasing your tickets early.

Urbanite is an international dance showcase and workshop series that is focused on dancer and community enrichment. Founded in 1998 at the University of Illinois, the experience has grown to 45+ showcases and has landed in 8 U.S. cities and 3 international stops. Urbanite bridges the gap between dancer and fan, choreography and freestyle dance, street dance and academia, while connecting people to the culturally-rich dance scene through events with elevated production.
