Class Descriptions
BodyWAGGING: Axis Syllabus & Dynamic Postures
In this class we'll apply information from biomechanics and anatomy to movement phrases. We'll study support architecture in a variety of postures and sequences, learning to move fluidly and dynamically.
Acrobatic Flow: Movement Exploration
This class combines acrobatic maneuvers, floor-based flow dancing and handstands. Strategies for loading hands/wrists, accessing your 'backspace', and generating power for quick twitch action will be discussed and practiced.
AGILE BEAST: Social Animals
As human primates, we evolved with specific movement patterns that shaped our bodies, reflexes and coordinations. Together we'll crawl, climb, run and throw. And we'll use each other to augment dynamic strength training by providing resistance and interactive environments for a variety of movement challenges.
Contact Improvisation & Movement Games
These sessions focuses on foundational CI techniques and partnering strategies. We'll then move toward more complex improvisation frameworks as a group, and finally to movement games that are a fun practice space for skills from the day!
