About this Event
Join local artists and educators Jacky Purtill and Rachel Davis for some fast paced friendly sketching fun as we creatively capture the Destination Basingstoke 10k and Half Marathon.
From the comfort of our camping chairs we will sketch the supporters, event staff and the amazing participants as they take part in one of our boroughs’ key sporting events.
Time: 10am - 3pm
Venue: War Memorial Park, Basingstoke
Where: Meet us in the running village and look out for the urban sketching sign.
Parking: parking at the park and various top of town car parks
Please be aware some roads will be closed due to the event so please double check your route.
What to bring: dress for all weather possibilities, drinks, snacks, a camping chair, easel or drawing board.
We will be supplying basic drawing materials and demoing techniques too. Stay for as long or as short as you like. If figurative art is not for you we can also sign post you to other areas of interest within the park.
Children welcome and to be supervised by an adult guardian at all times.
