Urban Reforestation in Richardson ParksLocation: 3555 Brand Rd, Richardson, TX 75082

We are planting 45 mature trees (45 gallon each) with irrigation and funding in Richardson Parks (see image) to reduce canopy inequity. City parks were severely impacted by the May 28, 2024 storm event, and they will have trees planted on National Arbor Day, 2025, through a continued partnership with City of Richardson’s Richardson Replants program.
Come support tree planting, staking and mulching, under the guidance of arborists. Volunteering with us is a fun-filled, dirt-covered, time outside enriching soil and lives. Expect to have a fun time doing the "dirty" work of digging holes, moving trees into holes, staking and mulching.
Tools for planting and light refreshments will be provided at the event.
Waiver form needs to be signed.
What to wear: Sturdy, closed-toe shoes; Weather appropriate clothing that allows for movement;
What to bring: Reusable bottle of water; Sun protection, Bug spray
