Hosted one Saturday a month, this workshop is your golden ticket to prepping for your dream home.The Home Buyer Education Workshop offers 8 modules that address the full home buying process. The program is designed to ensure that clients fully understand the home purchase process and understand how to utilize the resources they are introduced to during the workshop. The educational classes include the following metrics:
Importance of Pre-purchase Counseling
Fair Housing - Rules & Regulations
Lending & financing the home - Mortgage Products
Down Payment Assistance
Home Inspections & Appraisals
Homeowners Insurance & Wealth/Portfolio Building
Real Estate Contracts
Closing process
Each participant who completes a 6–8-hour HUD approved pre-homeownership course will receive a certificate of completion which is valid for one year of receipt. Receipt of this Certificate of Completion is an eligibility requirement for most Down Payment Assistance programs offered throughout the State of Georgia.
