New to Killa Kiz we bring you Workshops with the Killa Kiz Team. This month we have special guests joining us. We have the the lovely Tayo and Hannah doing an Improvers Urban Kiz workshop with us. Tayo and Hannah are local teachers and hold their own weekly Urban Kiz classes every Wednesday in Reading. They look forward to joining us and meeting you all.

There will be 2 workshops. These workshops have been catered for those curious about Urban Kiz and want to give it a try and also for beginners new to Urban Kiz and would like to start with an introduction to the dance and learn the fundamentals.
The second workshop will elaborate more on the first part of the workshop and will be catered more for the improvers who have already taken Urban Kiz classes and would like to cement their fundamentals and progress further into the art of Urban Kiz learning tips and techniques to help in improving and developing your dance skills further. We are all about progressive learning and like in any dance genre the foundations are key to mastering the dance and being a great dancer.
Meet the Team 🤗
⭐️Charlotte has been dancing for 14 years. She is Bristol based and has taught for Bristol Urban Kiz School, Bath Kizomba and has worked alongside the likes of L'ange Noir and Azzedine!
Charlotte is also UK Urban Kiz Champion of UK Open 2019 and says it was one of her greatest experiences and achievements.
⭐️Gim has been dancing for 10 years. Last year he completed the Urban Kiz Teachers certification led by Urban Kiz founder Curtis Seldon. Gim from Leamington Spa has taught Creative Connection in Burton on Trent and Urbanize in Birmingham and other surrounding areas such as Banbury and Loughborough. He also led his own classes Leamington Spa Urban Kiz. Gim can also be seen on the dance circuit taxi dancing at Kiz Ldn and Killa Kiz.
⭐️Josielyn has been dancing for 9 years. Her teaching journey started with Daniel Bowman. She then went on to teach for a number of years with Kizomba Fusion Reading. Josielyn has taught at various events around the UK including Ginga Boo Festival, So We Kiz Congress, KUK Nation Festival, Kiz Junction, Rolls Royce & Cube Derby, BachaKiz, Latin Addiction, Criola & Corazon. Josielyn came 2nd for Urban Kiz in UK Open 2023 and is also part of the Ginga Boo UK Urban Kiz Ladies performance Team & is the organiser of Killa Kiz in Reading.
⭐️Nikesh has been dancing for 10 years. In 2023 Nikesh earnt his dance teaching certificate with Jaleh Fallah, founder of Dance Revolution. Nikesh has taught Urban Kiz at Salsahe SBK Nottingham, SBK Monthly Madness Leicester, Dance8 Milton Keynes, Urban Nights Nottingham and Friday Night Twist in Leicester.

For the workshops to go ahead we must have the minimum of 6 couples register and we will be keeping an eye on leaders/followers ratio to make sure everyone benefits from the workshops.
