About this Event
Join us and the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County for a day of nature exploration and art workshops at Magic Johnson Park in Willowbrook.
The Urban Garden Bioblitz Challenge is a community science event on Saturday, February 1, 2025, where people gather to record as much data as possible about what species live in an area. It will run from 12-3 p.m. at the Earvin “Magic” Johnson Park.
Come hang out with the NHM Community Science team to explore the biodiversity in the park, learn from bugs and bats exhibitions, drop in for art workshops led by SHG’s Artist-In-Resident Zoe Blaq (@urbansoulfarmer), and experience Beatriz Jaramillo’s AR project that is part of the exhibition Sinks: Places We Call Home. There will also be educational booths by LA Compost, TAWA Food Rescue, and the Willowbrook Community Garden.
