A short but hopefully fruitful urban foraging walk suitable for all ages and abilities. Session is around an hour and involves less than a mile of walking but lots of wild food to discover.
Suitable for everyone including those with reduced mobility or mobility aids. We are on a flat path travelling a short distance at a very steady pace. If you have any questions or concerns just pop me a message.
Children very welcome, dogs too!
We will be litter picking as we go. Bring your stick of you have one, I'll have extras too. *Also very useful for reaching higher up treasures!*
We will be covering some fruits, nuts, leaves and maybe a mushroom or two if we are lucky.
This session is Pay As You Feel / What you can - the suggested contribution is £5pp but whatever you put in is fine by me. I also welcome barter! if you are crafty bring something along. I accept fruits, jams and vegan baking as well as any home grown produce. ESPECIALLY POTATOES!! Sing me a song, write me a poem, paint me a picture or a high five, handshake or hug is just fine.
We meet outside Aspley library which will not be open at the time. This means local toilets could be an issue, I'll see what I can discover nearby and update as I can.
MEET UP: 11AM (Don't be late you will miss stuff!)
Walk will be around 1 hour with time for chit chat at the end.
Bring a bag, basket or tub for your foraged finds if you want to. We will be foraging safely and sustainably so nobody is going to be filling wheelbarrows up digging anything out and we will litter pick as we go so as to leave the area better than when we found it 💚
