About this Event

On Tuesday, July 23, join Urban Environmentalists and Metropolitan Planning Council at 6pm for our July Happy Hour! We look forward to connecting over food and drinks.

This is a BYOB event; UEIL will provide some drinks, and event host Perkins+Will will provide water and LaCroix (flavored seltzer water).

MPC is hosting a panel the next day and has brought in three guests who will be joining us at the happy hour:

  • Sara Bronin, Founder/Director, National Zoning Atlas and author of the forthcoming book “Key to the City: How Zoning Shapes Our World”.
  • Nolan Gray, professional urban planner and author of "Arbitrary Lines: How Zoning Broke the American City and How to Fix it".
  • Yonah Freemark, the Director of Urban Institute’s Land Use Lab and MPC’s research partner investigating the impacts of zoning on public health, racial equity and sustainability.

Because 410 N Michigan Ave is a secure building, RSVP by Monday, July 22, 12 PM, is required and building security personnel may ask to see ID.
