An acapella singing group inspired by modern urban culture yet honours our very human roots - voices vibing together in nature 🫨 no bells 🚫🔔 no whistles 🚫🪈 just pure human creativity & resonance...
We're inviting local Kentish SINGERS, RAPPERS & BEATBOXERS to meet monthly at the beautiful urban oasis that is the Abbot's Mill Project Garden - a slice of paradise set on an isle in the stunning & sacred river Stour, which has been home to many of our projects over the last few years 🏞️
The idea is to have fun as a community constructing covers of classics & writing awesome inspiring originals...
Imagine a barbershop quartet that explores genres like hip hop, grime, dubstep, dnb & more! Informed by next level cinematic sound design & music production techniques, but generated purely by raw human talent 👄
+ teas foraged on site & healthy biscuits will be provided every session! 🍵🍪
This meet will take place the first Saturday of every month - come rain or shine! (If it's really that bad we might take shelter nearby, but we want to encourage getting outside in all weathers!). This also coincides with AMP 's volunteer day, so participants will be invited too join us in caretaking this beautiful site.
We suggest a £5 donation to compensate our choir leader @detrivore for her time - but if you really can't afford it please do join us anyway!
We're so excited to see where this project goes & hope to be practiced enough to take on some gigs next summer! 🌞
