Experience the moonlight in Mohawk Park at the Urban Campout! This family-friendly event will take place on Saturday, April 27. Tent set-up and activities start at 3 p.m. Supper, s'mores and a light breakfast are included in the cost of the event. Bring your fishing poles and take a hike to fish in Lake Sherry. You can also try your aim at archery. We'll have other family-friendly activities as well or you can just hang out and enjoy at night of tent camping under the stars at one of the largest municipal parks west of the Mississippi River!Details:
This event will take place in the area by Shelter 6 in Mohawk Park. Tent set-up is from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., but you must be checked in by 5 p.m. Feel free to bring your own fishing poles, but fishing is catch and release only. We'll have a few fishing poles on hand for those that want to experience fishing but don't have equipment. Supper will consist of hotdogs, chips and a drink so please be sure to choose your hotdog option in the enrollment option. We'll be cooking over campfires so no personal grills allowed. You must bring your own tent set-up and no pets allowed. Also for our planning purposes, if you are registering family members in your group who have different last names, please use the area specified to list the names of everyone in your group.
