About this Event

As part of the Pacific Dance Festival, join us for a special URA dance workshop with Aunty Kura at Te Oro! URA is a traditional Cook Islands dance that is known for its vibrant movements and infectious rhythms. Aunty Kura is an experienced dancer and teacher who has been passing on her knowledge of URA for many years.

This workshop is perfect for all ages and levels, and promises to be a fun and energetic way to spend your Saturday afternoon. In this workshop, participants will learn the basic steps and movements of URA and will have the opportunity to dance to some traditional Cook Islands music. This workshop is suitable for all levels of dancers, from beginners to those with more experience.

Don't forget to bring your pareu (sarong), a bottle of water, and a great attitude! This workshop is all about having fun and embracing the Pacific Island culture through dance.

So come and join us for an afternoon of movement, laughter, and learning. You'll leave feeling warm and glowing from the inside out. We can't wait to see you there!
