Mark your calendars! The Richard Haitbrink Quartet returns to the Uptown Lounge, Kansas City’s premier piano bar and jazz and blues room, on Thursday, November 6, 2025, for an exciting evening of music you won’t want to miss.
Led by percussionist Richard Haitbrink, the RHQ features some of the leading jazz talent in the Kansas City area.
Parker Woolworth - outstanding young Kansas City pianist and graduate of the terrific Kansas City Kansas Community College music and jazz program.
Tim Brewer - long time Kansas City classical and jazz bassist and graduate of the UMKC Conservatory.
Tetsuya Nishiyama - introducing Tet, a new member of the instrumental faculty in the KU Jazz Studies program in Lawrence and a wonderful addition to the Kansas City-area jazz community. If you liked Bucky Pizzarelli, you’ll love this guy.
Nancy Wallingford - RHQ’s charming vocalist will showcase some of the music that area jazz enthusiasts came to love from past KC vocal jazz icons Marilyn Maye, Ida McBeth, Bettye Miller and Julie Turner Ruskin.
Special Guest Marty Wall, the Booth Memorial Stadium voice for Jayhawk football on Saturday afternoons. Marty sings classic rock and country, but he also does some mean Sinatra and a great array of other standard swing from the Great American Songbook. If you havent heard Marty at Stock Hill or one of his other frequent venues, this will be a real treat.
