About this Event
Celebrate the start of ArtPrize with a one-of-a-kind walking food tour through Uptown Grand Rapids presented by Taste of GR! This 3-hour experience blends the best of local flavor with the energy of one of the world’s largest art competitions.
Along the way, you’ll taste your way through four Uptown favorites: start with Vivant Brewery & Spirits, then head to Speciation Cellars for their special tap release party paired with pierogies from the Frank-N-Swine food truck. Savor a sampling of gourmet popcorn from Popnotch Goods, and cap off the tour at The Winchester’s Oktoberfest party, featuring their food truck and live music from David Wells’ German Strolling Oompah Band (2–5pm). This is a full lunch for the average adult and a perfect start to your ArtPrize weekend.
Between bites, we’ll visit 7 official ArtPrize venues, strolling just over a mile at a light, easy pace with frequent stops to explore the art and connect with the community.
