About this Event

This course is part of our FREE 8 class UPSKILL VILLAGE series. These classes are offered to any Lee County Resident, ages 16 and older, who is looking to improve SOFTSKILLS and UPSKILL their resume in the professional realm.

Each participant will earn THREE micro-credential digital badges upon completion of the course.

This BUNDLE course will give participants the opportunity to complete THREE micro-credentials for the following classes:

ORAL COMMUNICATION:
Participants will learn to:
1. Speak with Clarity + Precision
2. Use Appropriate Tone + Word Choice
3. Listen Actively
4. Tell Stories to Express Ideas

EMPATHY:
Participants will learn to:
1. Listen actively, both to what is said explicitly and communicated nonverbally
2. Recognize what others need and value
3. Validate feelings and perceptions
4. Incorporate diverse perspectives

COLLABORATION:
Participants will learn to:
1. Strengthen relationships
2. Incorporate diverse perspectives
3. Use active listening skills
4. Focus on solutions rather than problems

If, for any reason, the instructor has to cancel a class, a makeup class will be provided.
