About this Event
This is theatre for all abilities. Invite friends, neighbors, classmates, and cousins to join this amazing production of Something Rotten Jr! For actors ages 10 through adults. 50 total slots available - all actors who audition will be cast.
Cost: $225 per actor, including peers, siblings, and actors with Down syndrome. Costs are underwritten by UPS for DownS. Actual cost per actor exceeds $1000.
Audition location is One Woodfield Place, 1701 E. Woodfield Road, Schaumburg, IL 60193
Audition Requirements:
- 💃Share with us what roles you are most interested in
- 🎶Please plan to sing a song - it can be from the show, any song that you love, or even simply Happy Birthday! You may bring your music accompaniment with you as a recording on your phone or you can sing a capella.
- 📖We will also ask you to read a scene or two from "Something Rotten Jr.” with us. Please see audition central for audition sides (LINK)
- 🗨Parent, legal guardian, or other support person is expected to attend auditions and will meet with our staff and have a chat about their participant's strategies for success. This is a required part of auditions.
UFD Program Requirements:
Commitment: Committing to the show is essential. This project should receive the same amount of commitment as a competitive athletic team, school club,, or any other activity. This means occasionally moving your lives around rehearsals. This means not planning social events over rehearsals. All actors are expected to make every attempt to attend every rehearsal.
Before you register, look at your calendars carefully and note ALL conflicts so our program staff can plan accordingly. If you note more than 6 conflicts, please take time to discuss as a family if the program is something your actor can commit to.
