Celebrate a century of remembrance of Black history through music, art and voices that honor legacy and lived experience. Through dynamic performances and vibrant visual expression, this celebration reminds us how art keeps history alive. This FREE event is great for all ages and is open to the entire community. Centered on celebrating Black history, culture, and artistic expression, the program invites people of all backgrounds to come together to learn, reflect, and connect.

Art Exhibit:
From the Inside Out | Healing the Inner Child presents a body of work by Erin Smith Glenn rooted in personal transformation, wellness, and self-worth. Inspired by a pivotal moment of breaking and healing, the exhibit invites reflection, meditation, and interaction—encouraging viewers to nourish their inner child and recognize healing, especially mental health, as an essential part of becoming whole.
Art Activities:
Create a custom Black History Month bracelet with staff from the Upper Arlington Public Library, designed to be worn and celebrated all year long.
Design and make your own Black History Month keychain to take home.
Additional Activities:
Explore the impact and contributions of African Americans throughout history with the Upper Arlington Public Library's Periodic Table of Black History.
Browse a curated selection of books celebrating Black history and culture with select titles available for checkout using your library card.
Enjoy light refreshments provided by the Community Relation's Committee's welcoming team.
