We open a can of new, freshly showered people, mix them, and shake them up with mini-games, group activities, and surprising questions. You won’t even notice you are meeting so many new people because you are too busy having fun!
Just like on a perfect night out, UpDates are filled with surprises, and it is hard to guess what is coming next. One moment, you are playing a one-on-one game, and the next moment, you walk freely through the room to do a group activity. Sometimes we provide you with the structure to interact (which is lacking when you just go to a bar), and sometimes you walk through the room and choose who you want to engage with.
Because it's a gay event, you’ll be playing the games with socializers of the same gender, which brings us to the grand metagame that’s going on at the same time. While you adventure through your night, you’re also in the game of obtaining new fans!
This is how it works:
At the beginning of the evening, you register yourself with your phone by scanning our QR code. At the end of the evening, you will see a list of all participants of the opposite gender. You tick off the boxes of the people you'd like to see again. If they are a fan of you as well, you will receive an email with their contacts the next morning :)
P.S. Don't worry if the event isn't sold out on Eventbrite. We promote our event through multiple channels and in case we don't have enough attendees we postpone the event and your ticket is valid for the next event. In case you can't make it, you will receive a full discount.
