About this Event
Dive into the world of screen printing and upcycling!
Join us at the SVA Print Shop for a fun, hands-on workshop where you'll learn the art of screen printing and transform your old shirts and bags into unique, wearable art. Our skilled SVA Faculty—Alejandro Chen Li and Bayard Morse—will guide you through each step, from mastering the basics of screen printing to creating your own designs.
During the workshop, you’ll have the chance to experiment with printing on your own items and enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour of the SVA Print Shop. Whether you're new to screen printing or a design enthusiast, this workshop is crafted to spark your creativity and inspire fresh ideas for repurposing clothing and fabric. Join us for an evening of learning, creating, and leaving with a one-of-a-kind printed piece you’ll love to wear. We can't wait to create with you!
Bring your own shirt or bag to this event. Item must be a light-colored cotton T-shirt or cotton or canvas bag. Do NOT bring items with zippers, buttons or thick seams in the area where we will be printing. Thick hoodies are also problematic.
