About this Event
Want to kickstart your journey with sustainable slow fashion? This workshop will demonstrate how to utilize upcycled fabric to create wearable pieces of art! Participants will learn how to use fabric scraps to create custom applique letters, motifs and patches.
We will use a mix of materials including beads, sequins and embroidery thread. While hand sewing knowledge is helpful it is not required!
Patches can be used to cover stains, holes or old logos on clothing. This class is the perfect way to revamp old clothing in your wardrobe. Please bring a T-Shirt, Crew neck, or other clothing item to work on. Note that thicker items (denim, canvas, corduroy, etc.) will be more difficult to hand sew through.
Feel free to bring your own letters or images to trace, but we will also have some in class!
This is a BYOB (Bring Your Own Beverage) Workshop. All participants must be 21 years of age or older.
