About this Event
Please join Patty for a fun and creative paper-folding class as we work together to make small paper gift boxes with lids. Our boxes will be made without glue or staples instead they will be made entirely through folds. This class is perfect for beginners.
Origami is the Japanese art of folding paper. The end goal is to manipulate and transform a flat square sheet of paper into a finished piece of art through folds and creases.
We will create these boxes using upcycled materials like greeting cards, magazines, and also demonstrate how to make them using origami paper.
We will have enough supplies for everyone, but recommend bringing your own scissors as we will be sharing the HWFC's supply! We will have paper to use but also encourage you to bring an item in to upcycle if there's something you're looking to give a second life!
Light refreshments will be available.
All are welcome however, this class is most appropriate for adults
Registration Preferred; Drop-ins as space allows! This class is part of our DIY Winter Holiday Gift Series!!
